Mianowicie, polscy podróżnicy i biolodzy udokumentowali niesamowit ą  różnorodność życia w tym regionie świata. Zadaniem pierwszej ekspedycji kaszgarskiej miało być odkrycie arkanów tych niezbadanych krajów, ich ekosystemów oraz prac nad ochron ą  dzikiej przyrody.
